Everything You Need to Know About Reed-Lallier Body Shop’s 20,000-Mile Warranty

That’s why we offer a 20-year/200,000-mile limited powertrain warranty for every new vehicle we sell. So if you buy a Chevy vehicle from us, you can drive it around the world eight times and still be covered by our 20,000-mile warranty. 

What Does the 20,000-Mile Warranty Cover?

The Reed-Lallier Chevy Limited Powertrain Warranty offers the same coverage as the vehicle’s factory powertrain warranty. Covered under our 20,000-mile Warranty are the following components:

Engine

• All internal lubricated parts
• Cylinder heads
• Flywheel
• Manifold (exhaust intake)
• Oil pan
• Oil pump
• Seals and gaskets
• Thermostat
• Thermostat housing
• Timing chain cover
• Timing chain (gears or belt)
• Turbocharger (factory-installed)
• Supercharger (factory-installed)
• Valve covers
• Water pumps

Transmission

• All internal parts
• Seals and gaskets
• Torque converter
• Transfer case (including all internal parts)
• Transmission case

Front-Wheel Drive

• Axle shafts
• Bearings
• Final drive housing (including all internal parts)
• Automatic front locking hubs (4WD)
• Seals and gaskets
• Universal and constant velocity joints

Rear-Wheel Drive

• Axle shafts
• Bearings
• Drive axle housing (including all internal parts)
• Driveshaft
• Retainers
• Seals and gaskets
• Universal and constant velocity joints

The 20,000-mile warranty will commence for original owners after the manufacturer’s warranty expires. The coverage will continue up to 20 years from the original date of purchase or 20,000 miles, whichever comes first. The 20,000-mile warranty covers maintenance, normal wear and tear of the Chevy vehicle, and items excluded elsewhere. 

How to Keep the 20,000-Mile Warranty

To keep the 20,000-mile warranty, all you need to do is maintain the vehicle at Reed-Lallier Chevy or any of the ASE-certified service centers. You should also follow the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule that you can find in the maintenance schedule booklet that was given to you when the vehicle was delivered. If you can’t find your maintenance schedule booklet, you can call Reed-Lallier Body Shop and talk to a service advisor. It’s unnecessary to take your vehicle to us for maintenance and repair. But you need to keep a record of service repair. 

The Warranty Covers Even Towing

If your vehicle needs to be towed, it will be brought to the Reed-Lallier Body Shop if you bought your car from us or to the nearest affiliated dealer. Towing service is covered for up to $74 per occurrence when your vehicle is towed to us or an affiliated dealer. 

Can You Change Your Oil?

Changing your oil will not void the 20,000-mile warranty. You also don’t need to take your vehicle to Reed-Lallier for an oil change. But you must keep supporting documents such as receipts for oil, filters, etc. You also need to keep a log every time you complete an oil change as proof that it has been done according to the suggested mileage intervals. The date of the receipts should also correspond to the recommended mileage intervals.
